Part 2 in a series of feature-length documentaries that look deeply at the role of arts in education programs, the film examines the controversial history of Black Indians. The film takes place in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, a tough neighborhood that is overcome with violence, drug addiction and low graduation rates. Despite the adversity and with the help of their teachers, the young students at PS/IS 298 are able to see inside a different world.
